Care Angels Staffs
Our Staff include carers, nurses, support staff, supervisors, district nurses, midwives, community nurses, auxiliary nurses, domestic assistants/cleaners, porters, kitchen help, escorts, security, nannies, mothers-help, companions etc.
All new employees go through a careful and stringent selection system before they are taken on. Our code of practice when selecting employees, by rule, follow that of the United Kingdom Home Care Association (UKHCA) which Care Angels has been a member of since we came into operation. This means that we follow a certain selection criteria - where it is a must to take employees through a process of interviews, an induction and through an initial training.
Police checks are done by the UKHCA’s CRB system to determine their social background. With nurses and carers a medical certificate or GP’s report is inspected before and shortly after they start work. At least two written work references are produced and a thorough check is done on their previous work performance and conduct. Although all these are confidentially kept clients are allowed access to employee files whenever they desire.
Care Angels is committed to quality and high standard of care, simply because we CARE. Our staff always treat our clients with deep respect and work to maintain their privacy, modesty, dignity, choice, independence and self-determination. We encourage clients and staff to build healthy relationships between themselves to make working together enjoyable and peaceful. To this end we promote and support continuity wherever possible.
Caring for or nursing a client is a developing process. We keep a close watch on the progress of all our cases and update records regularly, so we can respond positively to any changes in our client’s condition. Our feedback calls, our visits to our client and face-to-face meetings we have with our employees are all very important to us because they provide us with a learning tool for answering to changes and needs of our clients.
